  • Development of intercalating gold nanoparticles as a new label for double stranded DNA and application of the label for hybridization detection on different surfaces including glass slides, membrane and microsphere beads.
  • Visual detection of PCR amplicons on antibody-free lateral flow devices using gold nanoparticles.
  • Quantum dots encoded magnetic beads for DNA detection, and comparison of the detection limit with similar system including Cy-5 dye.
  • Electron delocalization in Ru(tpy)2 complexes and analysis of emission spectra resulted in different photophysical parameters such as radiative and non-radiative rate constants, electronic-vibronic coupling element and reorganization energy and introducing a molecular system with longer triplet state than Ru(tpy)2, appropriate for unidirectional electron transfer in arrays.
  • Light induced electron and energy transfer in artificial biosynthesis systems including porphyrin-Ru(bisterpyridin)2 and porphyrin-calixarene.
  • Photofacilitated cation transport in supported liquid membrane using molecular probes.

  • The result of research during the postdoctoral job has been orally presented to several companies and academic departments including Invitrogen, Central Science Laboratory, Blood Center of Cambridge University, British Biocell International, and Forsite Diagnostics.
